All St. Clare students, Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade, have summer reading homework and a book report that is due in September. The summer reading homework and supply list for the first day of school can be found on our website:www.stclarerosedale.com. Click on the classes tab then summer reading/supplies and click on the grade your child will be going into in September.
First Day of School for grades 1-8 – School starts at 8:15 on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. The students will enter the school through the gym doors located on 241st Street. The gym doors will open at 8:00 AM and will be locked at 8:20 AM. Students entering the school after 8:15 must come to the front doors located on Brookville Blvd. Late passes are issued starting at 8:20AM. Students are expected to be in full uniform.
First Day of School for Pre-K and K- students are expected to arrive in the gym at 8:45 AM. The gym doors will open at 8:30 AM and will be locked at 8:50 AM. Pre-K and K must arrive to school by 8:15 AM beginning September 6th
Bus Service - Bus service will be available for those students who turned in their bus forms on or before June 19, 2012. Parents and students should be at the bus stop at 7:00 AM. Please note that it takes approximately 2 weeks for the bus stops to be finalized. If you have any questions as to whether you have missed the bus, please call Atlantic Bus at 718-298-6000. You must give them the route number and bus stop number that are on the bus form.
Dismissal – The first 3 days of school, September 5th, 6th & 7th, school will dismiss at 11:30AM.
The first full day of school starts on Monday, September 10th, 2012. Dismissal is 2:20PM. Any student not picked up by 2:35PM will be sent to after-school. If you are going to be late picking up your child please notify the office by 2:10PM at the latest.
After-School Program begins – September 5, 2012
Morning Program begins – September 10, 2012
Calendar – A school calendar will be sent home the first day of school for the month of September. Please keep this calendar in a safe place as it will have the schedule of all our half days and days off for the entire school year. Each month you will receive a calendar that shows the current months happenings at St. Clare and upcoming events for the following month. The website will have a school calendar available in August and throughout the year.
School Lunch – School Lunch will be available to those students who received the school lunch during the 2011-2012 school year. New students who received the school lunch at their previous school can receive school lunch only if they bring in their eligibility letter to Mrs. Pinnock in the School Office. Paperwork for the new school year will be sent home during the month of September. School lunch will start for the new students in October once they receive their eligibility papers.
